Klaus-Peter Siegloch is one of Germany's most respected television news anchors and political commentators. He is the President of the BDL, Bundesverband der Deutschen Luftverkehrswirtschaft and is also the former head of the ZDF Studio in Washington. From 2003 to 2007, he was deputy chief editor of ZDF and head of the ZDF-Hauptredaktion Aktuelles as well as the anchor of the news programme heute-journals. He was also the host of the PHOENIX-Kamingespräche, where he invites prominent personalities from the public arena and puts them under the spotlight.

After his studies in political economics and sociology he began his journalistic careers as editor at the Norddeutscher Rundfunk first, then he presented Tagesschau and later anchoring Tagesthemen. He then went on to host Innenpolitik on ZDF as well as being head of the ZDF studios both in Bonn and Washington. He was awarded the Herbert-Quandt-Medien-Prize in 1989 and the Rias Fernseh-Prize in 1998.
