Taleb is currently the Distinguished Professor of Risk Engineering at NYU-Polytechnic Institute, Visiting Professor at the London Business School and co-director of the Decision Science Laboratory focusing on errors in the estimation of remote events. Before becoming a researcher, he held senior derivatives positions with major institutions, He has also been recognised as one of the 50 Most Influential People in Global Finance, by Bloomberg, as one of the Most Influential 100 Thought Leaders in the World by the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute and as one of the Most Influential Management Guru's by Forbes.
