Nigel Daly is the Chairman of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Los Angeles, based at the heart of the film industry's most prominent chapter, California. He is also Vice President of Screen International, Founder & Artistic Director of the Laboratory Arts Collective and Board Member of BritWeek. An entrepreneurial spirit combined with the love of arts management, talent development as well as a lover of science, Nigel is a profusion of creative links - a one man army of creative energy - in particular when it comes to links between Britain and the USA.

Starting out as an actor, then launching a theatre company in London, he moved into publishing taking a position at the film trade paper Screen International which brought him to the USA. Here he, besides his publishing activities, directed, produced and also sometimes acted in award winning films and stage productions, such as Cat Burglar, Dark Water, Sweatland and more. In addition to these activities Nigel has also painted some remarkable pictures.
